Whenever I’m here, I feel a delicious sense of thrill and excitement. Maybe it’s the dark wooden staircase that leads up Ann Siang hill too! Whatever it is, a visit to PS. Cafe will transport you to a lounge bar in the 1950’s – from the intricate floor tiles, to the deep mahogany wooden panel walls, dim lights and posh furnishing. Think jazz, blues, fine wine, the Italian mafia and classic black and white movies. How delightful is that ;)
We were ushered to the second floor of PS. Cafe, a dining area and bar that’s set in the attic. In my hyper-imaginative mind, it was like being shown to an exclusive, VIP alcove hidden from the rest of the bar.
The attic is set among lush, tropical greenery in the backdrop, outside its wide glass windows. It’s a small area that’s divided into a bar area, and a dining area. It isn’t able to house huge groups of people, which makes it for perfect for small, intimate gatherings.
I’m really curious to know if anyone has grown rather weary of the bustling, crazy night scene in Singapore, like I have. After years of partying and drinking, nothing turns me off quicker than ear-splitting noise and large, swarming crowds now.
If you’re like me, and would rather enjoy a quiet, romantic night with loved ones, without straying too far from civilzation, pop over to PS. Cafe now (:
